WATER IS THE CURE.

CREATING AN ECONOMICALLY VIABLE
SOURCE OF CLEAN WATER

Omilero translated from Yoruba roughly means “water is the cure”. In that spirit a group of passionate individuals have coalesced around a shared commitment to support an indigenous, sustainable, and economically viable source of clean water in the communities of Ogbomoso and Iwo, Nigeria.

In Nigeria, the National Population Commission’s 2008 Demographic and Health Survey shows that 85 per cent of the rural population is not treating their water in any way prior to drinking, even though only 43.6 per cent of the rural population has access to safe water (75.4 per cent have access in urban areas). With your help, we can help solve the problem.
